SUMMARY
We are seeking a competent Project Electrical Engineer to support the planning, design, development, and execution of electrical engineering projects. The successful candidate will develop design concepts, prepare project work plans and technical documentation, support project delivery, and provide guidance to junior engineers.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare project work plans, schedules, and electrical engineering deliverables.
- Prepare electrical concept designs and develop approved concepts into construction-ready designs.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, schedules, and technical reports.
- Develop practical and cost-effective electrical engineering design solutions.
- Carry out electrical design calculations and analysis as required.
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and other relevant engineering design software.
- Coordinate electrical designs with other engineering disciplines.
- Provide technical support during construction and participate in site inspections and project meetings.
- Review contractors’ drawings, technical submissions, and proposed electrical solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
- Train, guide, and mentor young engineers to improve their technical competence and professional maturity.
- Monitor assigned project deliverables and report progress and technical issues to the HOD.
- Maintain proper project design records and documentation.
- Perform other duties assigned by the HOD or Management.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional certification/registration is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of electrical engineering design principles and practices.
- Ability to develop effective engineering design solutions.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. - Working knowledge of ETAP and other relevant engineering design software.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, design calculations, drawings, and construction requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to train and mentor junior engineers.
- 3-5 years of experience.
