THE ROLE
The Managing Director will serve as the Chief Executive, holding total responsibility for the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the organization. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of world-class engineers and professionals, ensuring that the company’s undisputed market leadership remains unchallenged.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Strategic Leadership:nDevelop and execute long-term corporate strategies to diversify the project portfolio and increase market share in emerging infrastructure sectors.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the successful delivery of large-scale, complex civil engineering projects (dams, motorways, railways, and industrial buildings) ensuring they meet international safety and quality standards.
* Stakeholder Management: Maintain high-level relationships with Government stakeholders, technical partners, and international financing institutions.
* Financial Stewardship: Ensure the company’s financial health through robust project costing, revenue assurance, and prudent capital allocation.
* Innovation & Modernization: Drive the adoption of advanced construction technologies and sustainable engineering practices to protect the environment and restore historic infrastructure.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking a seasoned executive with a builder mindset. Someone who respects the heritage of the company but possesses the dynamism to modernize it.
Requirements:
* Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in the construction or civil engineering industry, with at least 8 years in a senior executive or C-Suite capacity.
* Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in managing multi-billion dollar infrastructure projects and leading large-scale corporate turnarounds or growth phases.
* Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in hydraulic structures, large-scale irrigation, or complex civil works (thermal/nuclear power stations, ports, or subways).
* Global Mindset: Experience working within or managing international joint ventures is highly preferred.
* Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is mandatory. An MBA or advanced degree in Management is an added advantage.
