Job Overview

The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the management of the organization’s financial operations, including the preparation of financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and financial reconciliations, while ensuring that all financial processes are accurate, timely, and in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in preparing accurate financial statements in compliance with organizational reporting standards.

•Support the preparation and management of the annual budget, forecasts, and cash flows.

•Monitor and ensure timely remittance of statutory obligations (e.g., PAYE, Pension, NHF, and NSITF).

•Ensure the efficient execution of weekly department operations, including banking and office requisitions.

•Maintain timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable

•Prepare and report on month-end processes, including bank reconciliation and other records to ensure accurate financial records.

•Ensure timely collection and reporting of branch accounts.

•Ensure the integrity and compliance of all financial transactions with organizational standards and procedures.

•Produce standard periodic and ad-hoc financial reports as required

•Review and maintain internal control processes to minimize risk and protect the organization’s assets.

•Ensure accurate recording of the organization’s fixed assets in line with accounting standards.

•Maintain healthy and effective relationships with third parties, including relevant volunteer departments and banking staff.

•Escalate breaches in control, loss of value, fraud, or any material risks to the Senior Finance Manager

 

Qualification & Experience

•A First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A second Degree in a relevant field is an addon

•Relevant certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA) are required.

•Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, in a structured environment. Experience in non-profit or faith-based organization is a plus.

•Proven experience with accounting software and ERP systems

 

Work mode: Onsite | 5 days a week
