Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise highway and road construction projects from commencement to completion.
Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation measures to ensure timely project delivery.
Coordinate site activities, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
Manage project resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, for optimal productivity.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements at all times.
Prepare project reports, work schedules, progress updates, and technical documentation.
Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and relevant government agencies.
Mentor and supervise junior engineers and site personnel.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Minimum of 12–15 years of relevant post-qualification experience in civil engineering and highway construction.
Mandatory experience working with Tier One construction companies.
Extensive experience in the construction and rehabilitation of highways, roads, bridges, drainage systems, and related infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of highway construction methods, engineering standards, and quality control procedures.
Excellent project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration skills.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in engineering and project management software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Registration with COREN and membership of NSE or other relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage.
