Instollar is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Officer to oversee and enforce quality standards across its network of installers and installation projects.
The role involves assessing installer capability prior to onboarding, reviewing project execution through submitted documentation, identifying quality issues and risks, and ensuring consistent compliance with defined technical and safety standards across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Installer Vetting & Onboarding Assessment
Review and evaluate installer applications, including technical qualifications, certifications, and past project experience. Assess supporting documentation and determine suitability for onboarding based on defined quality standards. - Project Quality Review & Validation
Conduct detailed reviews of installation projects using submitted reports, images, videos, and other documentation. Verify that installations meet expected technical specifications, safety requirements, and quality benchmarks. - Documentation & Evidence Assessment
Critically assess the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of project documentation submitted by installers. Identify inconsistencies, missing information, or signs of poor workmanship. - Quality Issue Identification
Detect defects, non-compliance, and potential risks in installations, including but not limited to poor wiring practices, substandard mounting, safety concerns, and deviations from expected installation standards. - Decision-Making & Quality
Control Make informed decisions to approve, reject, or escalate installer applications and project submissions based on findings. Apply both established guidelines and professional judgment in ambiguous or borderline cases. - Issue Escalation & Stakeholder Collaboration
Escalate critical quality concerns to relevant internal teams and support resolution by providing clear, structured insights and recommendations. - Quality Records & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all QA reviews, decisions, observations, and escalations. Ensure proper documentation for tracking, accountability, and future reference.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Proven experience in renewable energy systems (solar, inverter, or hybrid installations)
- Experience in quality assurance, technical inspection, field operations, or related roles
