Role Description

This is a role for a Sponsorship Sales & Business Development Executive based in any of the aforementioned staes. The individual will be responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities, managing client accounts, and building strong relationships with potential sponsors and partners. The role requires strategizing and implementing business development plans, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving sales targets. Day-to-day tasks also include lead generation, crafting sponsorship proposals, conducting presentations, and fostering communication with stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Identify and prospect corporate sponsors, SMEs, NGOs, and embassies aligned with women’s empowerment
Pitch the organisation’s sponsorship deck to decision-makers via phone, email, and in-person meetings
Negotiate and close sponsorship agreements at Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Title Sponsor tiers
Maintain a live pipeline tracker and report weekly to the Founding Director
Represent the organisation professionally at every touchpoint; you are the first impression
Coordinate handoff to legal and operations once a sponsor is confirmed
What We Are Looking For

Proven track record in B2B sales, corporate partnerships, or NGO fundraising
Existing network of contacts in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, or Imo corporate or development finance circles
Comfortable working purely on commission with no guaranteed base
Comfortable working with a Start-up
Self-directed: you set your own meetings and manage your own pipeline
Deep understanding of how to position a cause or brand as a sponsorship opportunity
Proficiency in New Business Development and Lead Generation strategies
Strong skills in Business Development and Account Management
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present ideas effectively
Ability to analyze market trends and identify sponsorship opportunities
Proven track record of meeting sales targets and building long-term client relationships
Experience in a related field or industry is advantageous
Must be highly organized, self-driven, and capable of working on-site in Lagos State
Nice to have:

• Previous experience selling sponsorships for events, sports, or media

• Familiarity with UN SDG-aligned programming and impact reporting
