Job Summary

The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, in-process products, and finished cosmetic products meet the Company’s quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production team to maintain consistent product quality and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and NAFDAC regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect and test raw materials, packaging materials, in-process products, and finished products.
Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological quality tests in accordance with approved procedures.
Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Approve or reject materials and finished products based on quality specifications.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, quality reports, and testing documentation.
Investigate product defects and non-conformities and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company quality policies, SON and NAFDAC requirements.
Participate in internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in Quality Control within a cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
Good knowledge of cosmetic manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
Working knowledge of GMP, SON and NAFDAC regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
