As part of our commitment to empowering local communities, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Community Engagement Officer. This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable skills and experience while making a real difference.
Role Overview:
As a Trainee Community Engagement Officer, you will learn to support initiatives that strengthen community connections and foster active participation. Through on-the-job training and mentorship, you’ll develop the skills needed to build
relationships, organize events, and promote our work within the community. The training lasts 12 months, with the possibility of being hired upon completion.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in planning and delivering community events, workshops, and outreach activities.
● Help build relationships with local groups, organizations, and stakeholders.
● Support communication efforts, including social media posts, newsletters, and community updates.
● Collect and analyze community feedback to improve engagement strategies.
● Represent the organization at events and meetings as needed.
● Contribute to the evaluation and reporting of community engagement activities.
● Staff the learning centre for 20 hrs a week, including 4 hrs on Saturdays
