As a Social Media Instructor, your role is to educate individuals or teams on best practices for using social media, covering platform strategies, content creation, analytics, and branding. You are to teach learners how to create, curate, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms while tracking metrics such as reach and engagement rates. By the end of each training session, participants should be able to confidently curate engaging and creative content independently for individuals and/or businesses.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Instruction & Curriculum: Develop and deliver training on social media strategies, trends, and tools.

• Content Creation Training: Teach techniques for photography, videography, and graphic design (using tools like Canva or Adobe) for social media.

• Analytics and Reporting: Instruct on how to track engagement and analyze data to improve performance.

• Best Practices & Compliance: Educate on platform algorithms, community engagement, and copyright laws.

• Mentorship: Evaluate student work, provide constructive feedback, and encourage learner success.

 

Qualifications and Skills

 

• Experience: Proven experience in social media management or training.

• Platform Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) and scheduling tools (Hootsuite, Buffer).

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate brand messages and teach effectively.

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A teaching certification or prior instructional experience is an added advantage

• Expertise in Social Media Management, Content Creation, and Marketing Strategies

• Strong knowledge of Advertising, Branding, and Analytics within social media platforms

• Effective training, mentoring, and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts

• Proficiency in using major platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging social tools

• Experience creating and delivering engaging educational materials in-person and virtually

• Good organizational and time-management skills with a strong focus on student outcomes
