The ideal candidate will focus on customer acquisition, retail expansion, and brand visibility. This role is perfect for someone who knows the Lagos market, has strong connections in modern trade, and is eager to see a local brand dominate shelves across supermarkets, stores, and cafés.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategies to acquire new customers and retail partners.
• Identify and onboard new outlets, supermarkets, cafés, and stores for product placement.
• Grow and manage key trade relationships with buyers, merchandisers, and distributors.
• Drive sales through product visibility, sampling, and promotional activations.
• Conduct market visits to monitor stock levels, merchandising, and competitor activity.
• Collaborate with the production and marketing teams to meet demand and align on campaigns.
• Deliver monthly sales targets and provide reports on market trends and opportunities.
• Actively seek corporate and event-based partnerships for bulk product supply.
Requirements:
• Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in sales, trade marketing, or business development (preferably in FMCG or food-related industries).
• Strong knowledge of Lagos modern trade landscape and retail channels.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent marketing and negotiation skills.
• Must know how to drive and have a valid driver’s license.
• Self-motivated, persuasive, and confident with great interpersonal skills.
• Must be based in Lagos.
