Job Summary: The IT Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of all technical systems. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and supporting the IT needs of the entertainment industry, including live events, digital content production, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
– Ensure the continuous operation of IT systems, including servers, networks, and software applications.
– Technical Support: Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
– Network Management: Manage and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity.
– Security Implementation: Implement and monitor security measures to protect the company’s data and IT systems from cyber threats.
– Data Management: Oversee data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
Software Management: Install, configure, and update software applications as needed.
– Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects, including system upgrades and new technology implementations.
– Liaise with external vendors for IT-related purchases and services.
Training: Provide training to employees on the use of IT systems and best practices for cybersecurity.
– Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience as an IT Officer or similar role, preferably in the entertainment industry.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
– Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Familiarity with entertainment industry-specific software and technologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
– Knowledge of video editing and production software.
– Certification in IT security (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
Working Conditions:
– Full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work to support live events and urgent IT issues.
