JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will undergo structured on-the-job training and gradually take responsibility for supervising component production activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, discipline, and proper use of company resources.
The role offers an opportunity to develop practical leadership and manufacturing management skills under the guidance of experienced factory personnel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers within the assigned component production section.
Monitor daily production activities to ensure targets and schedules are achieved.
Ensure workers follow approved production procedures, safety rules, and company policies.
Monitor production output, material usage, machine operations, and work processes.
Ensure components produced meet the required quality standards.
Identify and promptly escalate production abnormalities, machine issues, material shortages, and quality concerns.
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and shift documentation.
Monitor workers’ attendance, punctuality, productivity, and compliance with factory rules.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other relevant departments.
Assist in identifying production losses, wastage, downtime, and other operational inefficiencies.
Promote proper housekeeping and 5S practices within the production area.
Ensure proper handling and storage of production materials and components.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Carry out other duties assigned by the Production Manager or designated supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Production/Operations Management, Business Administration, or any related discipline.
NYSC must be completed and applicant must possess a valid NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.
0–2 years of work experience, preferably with some exposure to supervisory, production, factory, or team-lead responsibilities.
Previous experience in a plastic manufacturing company as a Supervisor, Factory Helper, Production Assistant, Machine Operator, or similar role will be an added advantage.
Strong interest in manufacturing and factory operations.
Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to supervise and coordinate workers effectively.
Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, accountability, and attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or extended hours when operational requirements demand it.
