Job Vacancy: Network Administrator
Location: Lekki-Ajah
Employment Type: Full-Time
Our client is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our IT team and support our expanding infrastructure needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices.
Monitor network performance and perform regular system audits.
Use tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds for network diagnostics.
Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices.
Maintain user access, permissions, and network policies.
Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and system migrations.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for networking issues.
Ensure timely backups and network documentation.
Technical Skills & Requirements:
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP, routing protocols).
Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments.
Proficiency in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
Sound knowledge of network security, firewalls, and best practices.
Preferred Certifications:
CompTIA Network+ – required
Cisco CCNA – highly preferred
Qualifications:
BSc/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2–3 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
