Key Responsibilities
1. Product Promotion
Promote the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and patent medicine dealers (PPMVs).
Explain product indications, dosage, benefits, and advantages over competing brands.
Conduct detail visits to healthcare professionals regularly.
2. Sales Generation
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Generate prescriptions and product orders from hospitals, pharmacies, and distributors.
Increase market share of assigned brands within the territory.
3. Territory Management
Manage an assigned sales territory (e.g., a state or group of cities).
Plan daily routes to cover hospitals, pharmacies, and medicine stores effectively.
Identify new customers and expand the customer base.
4. Relationship Building
Develop strong relationships with:
Doctors
Pharmacists
Hospital administrators
Patent medicine dealers
Distributors
5. Product Education
Educate healthcare professionals on:
Clinical benefits of products
Correct usage and dosage
Safety profile
Answer medical and technical questions about products.
6. Organizing Medical Activities
Organize and coordinate:
Drug seminars
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Product presentations
Health campaigns
7. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor products and activities.
Gather market feedback on pricing, demand, and customer preferences.
Report new opportunities and challenges in the territory.
8. Reporting:
Submit regular reports such as:
Daily call reports
Weekly activity reports
Monthly sales reports
Maintain accurate customer records.
9. Distribution Support
Ensure product availability in pharmacies and medicine stores.
Work with distributors to maintain steady stock supply.
10. Compliance
Ensure all promotional activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.
