JOB TITLE: PORTFOLIO MANAGER

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in credit/portfolio management within a microfinance or commercial banking environment.

• Strong knowledge of microfinance lending principles, portfolio analysis, and risk management.

• Proficient in financial reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and decision-making skills.

• Knowledge of CBN regulations and Nigerian financial services industry is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and monitor the bank’s credit and investment portfolio to ensure strong performance and minimal default rates.

• Develop portfolio growth strategies while maintaining asset quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular portfolio analysis, risk assessments, and generate performance reports for senior management.

• Work closely with credit officers, business development teams, and recovery units to optimize loan performance.

• Identify market opportunities and recommend product adjustments based on customer needs and financial trends.

• Ensure timely renewal, restructuring, or recovery action on non-performing accounts.

• Ensure full compliance with internal policies, CBN guidelines, and other regulatory requirements
