a. Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the school, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
b. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of the school’s annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor budgetary performance throughout the year and provide regular reports to management.
c. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely manner. Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts as necessary.
d. Payroll Processing: Coordinate payroll processing for school employees, ensuring accurate calculation of salaries, deductions, and benefits. Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required.
e. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for school management and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
f. Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits of the school’s financial records. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
g. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations to management based on financial data and analysis.
h. Financial Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with school leadership to develop financial plans and strategies to support the institution’s goals and objectives.
i. Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, and ensure timely payment for goods and services.
j. Financial Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls and compliance with best practices.
