Job Description
We are seeking a disciplined, analytical, and highly detail-oriented Research Officer to support research, documentation, and proposal preparation activities.
This role requires excellent research ability, strong command of written English, professional document formatting skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines within a structured office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and gather relevant data from credible online and offline sources
- Prepare reports, briefs, summaries, proposals, and presentations.
- Analyze information and present findings in a clear and structured format
- Proofread and review documents for grammar, clarity, formatting, and accuracy
- Assist in preparing academic, technical and administrative documentation
- Ensure originality and quality standards across all written materials
- Organize and maintain research records, documents, and reference materials
- Meet assigned deadlines while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
Requirements
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Experience in report writing, documentation, proposal writing, content writing, or editing
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and other office productivity tools
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong time management and deadline discipline
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will have an advantage:
- Proposal or bid writing
- Academic or technical writing
- Proofreading and copy editing
- Publishing platforms
- APA, MLA, Harvard, or Chicago formatting styles
N/B: The role provides opportunities to acquire one or a combination of the following skill sets: laboratory testing, water treatment and engineering, industrial process chemical technology, and HSE.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Upper Division – 2:1) in either Physical Science, Applied sciences, or Economics, with not more than 3 years post-NYSC experience. Postgraduate degree holder preferred.
