Summary
• We are seeking a dependable and experienced Driver to join our busy delivery team.
• You will load up your van with orders and deliver them to customer’s locations around the local area or outside the local areas.
• We expect you to be courteous and professional when interacting with customers.
• All our delivery staff must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• You also must be familiar with the areas to ensure you make on-time deliveries.
Role Description
• The Deliveryman will be responsible for driving van to transport products to and from specified destinations.
• The Deliveryman will also be responsible for making deliveries, and ensuring that all products that leave the Farm are in good condition.
• Ensure products are delivered promptly.
• Keep Vehicle organized, clean, and tidy.
• Ensure inventory stock matches delivery requirements
• Maintain van to ensure it remains in good driving condition
• Handles product properly and report to the Farm Manager.
• Complete daily maintenance checks on the delivery van and notify the manager of any issues.
• Complete documentation such as logs, mileage reports
• Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a secondary school leaving certificate or its equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of experience in driving trucks or vans
• Excellent knowledge of within Lagos routes and traffic laws
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform various tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and repair is an added advantage
