Job Summary:

HRLeverage, a Pan-African workforce management company which has presence in 8 different African countries, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Real Estate Manager to join our client who is a fast-growing freight forwarding company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day to-day operations and maintenance of the company’s property portfolio, ensuring properties are well- maintained, safe and compliant with regulations. This role also involves managing maintenance and facility staff, coordinating with service providers, handling tenant relations and implementing property improvement projects.

Operational Responsibilities:

•Responsible for sourcing for property related requests from clients or the respective SBUs.

• Serve the primary point of contact for tenants regarding maintenance issues, repairs and property concerns.

•Serve as first point of contact regarding all property related requests; lease or sales for clients and will directly source for property on behalf of the client SBUs.

•Respond to tenant requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

•Coordinate tenants move-ins and move-outs, ensuring smooth transitions and adherence to lease terms.

•This role also involves managing maintenance and facility staff, coordinating with service providers, handling tenant relations, and implementing property improvement projects to increase revenue.

•Manage relationship with service providers and contractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness,

•Negotiate contractors and service agreements. Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with copany standards, project specifications and government laws.

•Ensure that all properties comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Conduct regular safety inspection and risk assessments.

•Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures for properties,

•Serve as primary point of contact for property related emergencies.

•Develop and manage the property maintenance budget, including forecasting costs and managing expenditures.

Performance Management Responsibilities:

•Ensure the attendance of relevant trainings & Certifications.

•Process and obtain relevant permits

Working Relationships:

Internal: All Staff

External: Clients, Suppliers, Vendors, Regulatory Institutions, Landlords and Agents, Corporate Service and Legal, Community Traditional Heads.

Key Requirements:

Educational Qualification: HND or BSc in Estate Management or equivalent is very important.

Professional Qualification: Ideal but not mandatory

Work Experience: Candidate must have hands-on experience on the role.

Technical Competencies:

•Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc)

•Excellent project management and organizational skills

•Proficient in facility management software and tools

•Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.

• Facility and property management skill

•Comprehension of government agencies procedures

Work Environment:

Work Cycle: Monday – Friday

Work Hours: 8am – 5pm (may be required to work at off hours or days and weekends)

Work Location: Lagos (may be required to travel locally and internationally).
