Position Overview

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Lagos, Mainland (60% Fieldwork, 40% Office-based)
Reports To: Program Team
Start Date: December 2, 2025
Compensation: To be discussed during the interview

We are seeking an experienced Social Media Manager & Content Creator to build and lead our digital presence across all platforms. This role is critical to our mission—you
will be responsible for capturing our impact stories in the field, creating compelling content, and growing our online community from zero to a thriving movement.

Core Responsibilities

Content Production & Storytelling (60% Fieldwork)
 Capture high-quality photo and video content of our programs, beneficiaries,
events, and community impact in the field
 Conduct interviews with beneficiaries, volunteers, and stakeholders to document
authentic impact stories
 Film and produce short-form content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and
Facebook
 Create long-form video content for YouTube that showcases our programs and
impact in depth
 Edit all video content to professional standards using industry-standard software
 Develop visual assets including graphics, infographics, and branded content that
communicate our mission effectively
 Ensure all content adheres to ethical storytelling practices, particularly when
working with vulnerable populations
 Maintain organized content archives and asset libraries
Social Media Strategy & Management (40% Office-based)
 Build and manage HopeNext Foundation’s presence on Instagram, TikTok,
Facebook, and YouTube from inception
 Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with
organizational goals
 Create and maintain content calendars that balance impact storytelling,
educational content, donor engagement, and calls-to-action
 Grow follower base and engagement across all platforms through data-driven
strategies
 Monitor platform algorithms, trending topics, and best practices to maximize
reach and engagement
 Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and
fostering meaningful conversations
 Collaborate with the program team to highlight ongoing initiatives, campaigns,
and organizational milestones
 Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics including reach,
engagement, follower growth, and conversion rates
 Provide monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations for
optimization
 Identify and engage with influencers, partners, and ambassadors to amplify our message.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Track Record
 Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in social media management and
content creation
 Demonstrated track record required: Must provide evidence of:
o Growing social media accounts from inception or significantly increasing
follower base (e.g., 0 to 10K+ followers)
o Creating viral or high-performing content with measurable engagement
o Successfully managing multi-platform social media strategies
 Portfolio showcasing previous work with specific engagement metrics, growth
statistics, and campaign results
Technical Skills
 Advanced video filming capabilities (mobile and/or professional camera)
 Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro,
CapCut, or equivalent)
 Strong photography and photo editing skills
 Graphic design capabilities using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools
 Deep understanding of each platform’s unique algorithms, features, and
audience behaviors
 Knowledge of social media analytics tools and performance tracking.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Strong organizational and project management capabilities

 Comfortable working in diverse field environments across Lagos communities

vulnerable populations

Preferred Qualifications

 Prior experience in the nonprofit, NGO, or social impact sector
 Experience with paid social media advertising and campaign management
 Basic animation or motion graphics skills (After Effects, Motion, etc.)
 Understanding of YouTube SEO and optimization strategies
 Familiarity with content management systems and scheduling tools
 Knowledge of fundraising and donor engagement through digital channels.

Work Expectations

 Full-time position with standard weekday hours (weekends not required at this
time)
 60% fieldwork across Lagos Mainland communities (travel to program sites,
events, beneficiary locations)
 40% office-based work for editing, strategy, and administrative tasks
 Occasional flexibility is required during major campaigns or events

Success Metrics (First 6 Months)
Month 1-3:

 Establish HopeNext Foundation’s presence across all four platforms
 Create a consistent content calendar with a minimum of 10-14 posts per week per
platform
 Develop brand visual identity and content guidelines
 Build a foundational follower base across platforms
Month 4-6:
 Achieve measurable follower growth and engagement benchmarks
 Produce at least 2 viral or high-performing content pieces
 Establish partnerships or collaborations with relevant influencers/organizations
 Demonstrate a clear impact on organizational visibility and donor/volunteer acquisition.
