Job Title: Compliance Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to ensure our organization operates in full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s integrity, reputation, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential gaps.
Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls (e.g., CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT, Data Protection, etc.).
Review and update company policies in line with regulatory changes.
Investigate compliance issues and report findings to management.
Conduct employee training sessions on compliance awareness and ethical practices.
Liaise with regulatory bodies and assist with inspections, filings, and documentation.
Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and reports.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3–7 years’ experience in compliance, risk, or audit (preferably in the financial sector).
Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
High ethical standards and attention to detail.
Certification in compliance or risk management (e.g., CCO, CAMS, ICAN, CIBN) is an added advantage.
