Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised, tech-savvy Fashion House Manager to lead our studio operations. You will be the bridge between our creative vision and technical execution, ensuring that our tailoring team stays on schedule, our quality remains top-tier, and our facility runs seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Team Coordination
Supervise the tailoring team’s daily workflow to ensure all garments are completed on schedule.
Assign tasks based on expertise and monitor the progress of bespoke and ready-to-wear orders.
Maintain a clear production calendar to avoid backlogs and missed deadlines.
2. Quality Control (QC)
Conduct rigorous, multi-stage inspections of all finished garments.
Ensure finishing, stitching, sizing, and detailing meet the brand’s premium standards before delivery.
Identify and rectify production errors early to minimise fabric wastage.
3. Tech & Digital Management
Utilise digital tools and apps for order tracking, inventory management, and team communication.
Manage the brand’s social media presence (posting content, responding to inquiries, and monitoring engagement).
Stay updated on digital fashion trends to suggest improvements to the brand’s workflow.
4. Logistics & Vendor Management
Coordinate all customer deliveries, ensuring items are packaged beautifully and dispatched on time.
Manage relationships with fabric suppliers, accessories vendors, and maintenance contractors.
Oversee facility management, ensuring the studio is clean, organised, and all equipment is serviced.
Education & Professional Background
1. Minimum Qualification: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
2. Alternative: National Diploma (ND) holders with a strong track record in fashion house operations will be considered.
3. Industry Experience: Prior experience in Fashion House Management or garment production oversight is a significant advantage.
4. Technical Skill: While this is a management role, practical sewing experience or a background in tailoring is a major plus, as it will help in effectively supervising the production team and performing quality checks.
Other requirements & Skills
Tech Proficiency: Must be comfortable using smartphones, social media platforms, and basic management software or spreadsheets.
Proximity: Preference will be given to candidates living around the Gaduwa, Gudu, Apo, or Lokogoma axis for ease of commute.
Attention to Detail: An “eagle eye” for garment finishing and quality.
Leadership: Ability to manage a diverse team of tailors and artisans effectively.
