Medical Laboratory technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician to join our diagnostic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, ensuring accurate results, and supporting overall quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collect, label, and process patient samples (blood, urine, stool, swabs, etc.) following standard protocols
2. Conduct routine laboratory investigations.
3. Accurately record and analyze test results, and report findings to the laboratory scientist/medical director.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and quality control checks.
5. Adhere strictly to laboratory safety, infection control, and ethical guidelines.
6. Ensure proper documentation of results and maintain patient confidentiality.
7. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of reagents and consumables.
