VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: PREMIER BONDED TERMINAL, LAGOS
Our client is a leading, high-capacity Bonded Terminal located in the heart of Lagos. Renowned for operational excellence and a commitment to digital transformation, they are currently undergoing a strategic expansion. We have been mandated to recruit seasoned, high-caliber professionals for the following key positions:
1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE (BDE)
The Role:
We are seeking a strategic and commercially aggressive BDE to drive volume, secure new shipping line partnerships, and expand the terminal’s market share.
Key Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Substantial years of proven experience in the maritime, freight forwarding, or terminal operations sector.
Competencies: Deep understanding of the Nigerian maritime landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a data-driven approach to client acquisition.
Attributes: High-level corporate grooming and the ability to interface with C-suite executives and major cargo owners.
2. TERMINAL YARD OFFICER
The Role:
To oversee the daily physical flow of containers, ensuring optimal space utilization, security compliance, and efficient gate-in/gate-out processes.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Significant years of on-the-ground experience in a busy terminal or dry port environment.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and container tallying procedures.
Education: Minimum of OND/SSCE. Practical experience and industry knowledge are prioritized over a degree for this role.
Attributes: Strong leadership skills to manage field personnel and the ability to work under high pressure.
3. TERMINAL MACHINE OPERATORS (REACH STACKERS & FORKLIFTS)
The Role:
Precision operation of heavy-duty terminal equipment for the stacking and positioning of containers.
Key Requirements:
Experience: Substantial years of experience operating Reach Stackers (Kalmar, Konecranes, etc.) and heavy-duty forklifts in a bonded terminal.
Certification: Valid heavy-duty driving license and relevant operator certifications are mandatory.
Education: Minimum of SSCE.
Attributes: Acute focus on safety protocols and the ability to execute complex maneuvers with zero damage to cargo or equipment.
