Accountant
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Manage company accounts, budgets, and financial reporting.
- Reconcile branch sales reports with bank deposits.
- Ensure compliance with tax, pension, and statutory obligations.
- Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial statements.
- Support the CFO with audits, financial controls, and cost analysis.
- Train branch staff and Regional Coordinators on financial reporting compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) preferred.
- Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in accounting/finance roles (preferably FMCG, retail, or distribution).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Collect daily sales and expenditure reports from branches (via Regional Coordinators).
- Reconcile bank statements and petty cash balances.
- Track accounts receivable and payable.
- Prepare financial snapshots for GM.
- Update inventory cost and margin analysis.
- Flag anomalies, potential fraud, or inefficiencies.
