Job Summary:
The Inventory Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all construction materials, tools, and equipment at the project site. The officer ensures efficient stock management, prevents material loss or theft, and supports smooth project operations by ensuring timely availability of resources.

Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management:
Receive, record, and tag all incoming construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Issue materials to site engineers or supervisors upon proper documentation and approval.
Monitor stock levels and initiate reorder when minimum stock levels are reached.
Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile with records.
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
Maintain accurate inventory records using manual registers and/or digital systems.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management.
Ensure proper filing of delivery notes, material request forms, and issuance records.
Track inventory usage per project phase or site area for cost and accountability.
Coordination & Compliance:
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely delivery and storage of materials.
Ensure all items stored meet safety and quality requirements.
Prevent pilferage, misuse, or wastage of materials through strict inventory controls.
Adhere to site safety protocols and reporting lines.
Tool & Equipment Tracking:
Maintain a log of tools and equipment issued to workers or subcontractors.
Monitor tool returns and report damaged or missing items.
Ensure regular servicing schedules are followed for site equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:
OND/HND/BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience in inventory control, preferably in a construction environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software (e.g., Zoho, Sortly, or ERP systems).
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
Attention to detail and a high sense of accountability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding site environment.
