Consolidated Hallmark Insurance’s regional director picks international job



Ijeoma Okoro, the regional director of Eastern Operations at Consolidated Hallmark Insurance, has been appointed as a member of the Board of Trustees of Rotary International, a non-governmental organization based in Evanston, Illinois, the United States. She is the only Nigerian and African elected to the board and will serve a four-year term.

During a send-off party organized by Consolidated Hallmark Insurance in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Mary Adeyanju, the managing director/CEO, expressed deep appreciation to Okoro for her contributions to the company and wished her success in her new international role.

Okoro, with 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, has played key roles in transformation, market development, and management processes at Consolidated Hallmark Insurance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in theater, a postgraduate degree in management, and has studied at the Lagos Business School.

Apart from her professional achievements, Okoro founded the Romanus Emeanuru Foundation for Empowerment and Education Development in memory of her father, focusing on women’s empowerment. She is also involved in various humanitarian and community organizations.

Okoro’s involvement in Rotary International dates back to 1999, where she has held roles such as RI learning facilitator and assistant regional Rotary Foundation coordinator. She played a significant part in the End Polio Now campaign and has been recognized for her contributions with awards and certificates.

Beyond her professional and philanthropic endeavors, Okoro enjoys travel, singing, dancing, and gardening with her husband and children, who are also involved in Rotary initiatives.
