Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (Soybeans Processing & Farm Machinery Specialist)
Location: Rivers State, Nigeria (Open to candidates willing to relocate)
Starting Salary: ₦220,000 – ₦250,000 / month (based on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer to oversee the installation, routine maintenance, and repair of our soybean processing plant and agricultural machinery. You will play a vital role in minimizing downtime, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining peak performance across all mechanical systems on our farm and processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations & Maintenance: Direct and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for soybean processing units (extruders, crushers, conveyers, and sorting equipment).
Farm Machinery Repairs: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy farm equipment, tractors, power tools, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
Downtime Minimization: Diagnose equipment breakdowns quickly and implement efficient engineering solutions to ensure continuous operational uptime.
Parts & Inventory Control: Track mechanical spares, manage spare parts inventory, and recommend necessary component replacements.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all machinery maintenance and plant operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Specialized Experience: 3 – 5 years of Proven track record in operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining soybean processing plants and farm machinery.
Education: B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant agricultural engineering discipline.
Location: Resident in Rivers State (or environs), or genuinely willing to relocate immediately.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, heavy diesel engines, and automated processing machinery.
Problem-Solving: Strong diagnostic skills, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and the ability to handle high-pressure repair scenarios smoothly.
