Key Responsibilities
● Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
plans, procedures, and inspection processes for road construction projects.
● Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, engineering
standards, regulatory requirements, and client quality expectations.
● Conduct site inspections and coordinate material testing to verify compliance with
approved quality standards.
● Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, quality
reports, and other QA/QC documentation.
● Identify quality non-conformances, conduct root cause analyses, and implement
corrective and preventive actions.
● Liaise with consultants, clients, laboratories, and project teams on all quality-related
matters.
● Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet
project specifications.
● Maintain accurate quality records, test results, inspection reports, and compliance
documentation.
● Mentor and guide site engineers and project teams on quality standards, best
practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
● Support project delivery by ensuring quality objectives are achieved without
compromising safety, cost, or schedule.
Qualifications & Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Materials
Engineering, or a related field.
● Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the
construction industry, with significant experience on road and highway construction
projects.
● Professional registration with relevant bodies such as COREN, NSE, or other recognized
professional institutions is an added advantage.
● Strong knowledge of road construction specifications, material testing standards, quality
management systems, and industry best practices.
● Experience in asphalt works, concrete works, earthworks, pavement construction,
drainage systems, and laboratory testing procedures.
● Proficiency in quality documentation, inspection processes, audits, and reporting.
● Familiarity with ISO 90001 Quality Management Systems and other relevant quality
standards is highly desirable.
