We are currently undergoing a massive digital and infrastructure upgrade to prepare for AIHS 2026 Global Media Coverage. Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role for a General Manager at a Broadcast Media and TV Station located in Abuja. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, including managing broadcasts, coordinating production and programming schedules, supervising staff, developing strategies to grow viewership and revenue, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The role also entails collaborating with marketing and sales teams to optimize station performance and audience engagement, while maintaining quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Leadership and management skills, including team coordination and conflict resolution abilities
Not less than 5years experience
Experience in broadcast media, TV production, and station operations
Strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Proficiency in communication and stakeholder relationship management
Understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards for broadcast media
Knowledge of audience analytics and strategies for improving ratings and engagement
Proficiency with relevant broadcasting and production tools or software
Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Experience with high-stakes live event broadcasting and international media partnerships is a major advantage.
