Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage the farm’s financial records and ensure accurate tracking of all income and expenditure. The role involves bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, and supporting management in making informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Record and maintain accurate bookkeeping of all farm financial transactions (inflows and outflows).
* Monitor daily expenses, purchases, and sales to ensure accountability.
* Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management review.
* Reconcile bank statements, petty cash, and other financial accounts.
* Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for farm operations.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
* Support procurement and inventory management with financial record-keeping.
* Collaborate with the Farm Manager and Head of Farm Security to monitor costs related to production and farm assets.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management (agricultural or SME setting is an advantage).
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel).
* Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
* Good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
* Integrity, accountability, and a proactive attitude toward financial management.

Education:

* OND / HND / B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
*Must be based in or willing to work in Ogbomoso*
