Accountant
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Manage company accounts, budgets, and financial reporting.
  • Reconcile branch sales reports with bank deposits.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, pension, and statutory obligations.
  • Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial statements.
  • Support the CFO with audits, financial controls, and cost analysis.
  • Train branch staff and Regional Coordinators on financial reporting compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) preferred.
  • Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in accounting/finance roles (preferably FMCG, retail, or distribution).
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • High integrity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.

 

Day-to-Day Activities:

  1. Collect daily sales and expenditure reports from branches (via Regional Coordinators).
  2. Reconcile bank statements and petty cash balances.
  3. Track accounts receivable and payable.
  4. Prepare financial snapshots for GM.
  5. Update inventory cost and margin analysis.
  6. Flag anomalies, potential fraud, or inefficiencies.
