Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused Community Pharmacist to join our retail healthcare team. The role involves dispensing medications safely, providing expert advice on drugs and supplements, promoting health awareness, and supporting sales growth through community engagement, upselling, and cross-selling. The ideal candidate should have experience in community practice and a strong passion for patient care and retail pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities
Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications accurately and safely.
Counsel customers on proper use of medications, supplements, and lifestyle choices.
Recommend vitamins, supplements, and wellness products tailored to customer needs.
Educate patients on possible side effects, interactions, and safe drug use.
Build strong customer relationships and encourage loyalty through trust and professional service.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities (e.g., supplements, skincare, devices) while maintaining ethical standards.
Monitor stock levels, ensure availability of fast-moving items, and advise management on reorders.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and pharmacy transactions.
Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, safety, and ethical guidelines.
Participate in community health campaigns and promotions to drive awareness and sales.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (nurses, doctors, suppliers) as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognized institution.
Current license to practice from the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
Proven experience in community or retail pharmacy practice.
Strong knowledge of drugs, supplements, and OTC products.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to balance professional ethics with sales targets.
Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
